Healthcare on the Move: A Glimpse into Our Free Medical Camp During the Sant Tukaram Maharaj Palkhi Yatra

ree

The Sant Tukaram Maharaj Palkhi Yatra is a time-honored tradition that draws thousands of devotees each year. Amidst the joy, chants, and spiritual energy, there’s also the fatigue, heat, and physical toll it takes on the participants, known as Warakas.

Recognizing this need, Shilavati Foundation launched a mobile health camp in Majalgaon, Bid district in June 2022, offering free medical check-ups and distributing medicines to 150 Warakas. Spearheaded by Founder President Mrs. Ashwini Manojkumar Mane, the initiative stood as a beacon of support for those on this sacred path.

The success of this camp not only provided much-needed relief to the Warakas but also demonstrated how healthcare can be made accessible even during large-scale cultural and religious movements.
